About the name: Burro Pass was named after topographer named the gap after his burro, it stands at 11,000 feet and can be reached from Twin Lakes via the Barney Lake trail out of Mono Village, one of best panoramas in the Sierra’s. It’s a pleasant alpine meadow along the Burro Pass Trail. Burro Pass over looks Yosemite National Park.
